Listen to My Heart

The Songs of David Friedman

The AU Music Library just got a very large book of the works of famed composer, David Friedman. The book includes: Listen to My Heart, We Live on Borrowed Time, We Can be Kind, Help is On the Way, and Your Love.

Friedman, based just four hours away in New York City, is a film and theater composer, lyricist and conductor. He has conducted musicals on Broadway, and his recent 2009 musical, Stunt Girl, written with Peter S. Kellog has been critically acclaimed in Seattle and is preparing for an out-of-town run before a Broadway openning.

In film, Friedman has been a vocal arranger and conductor for Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He also wrote the music and lyrics for Aladin’s the King of Thieves.

If you are interested in composition, or Friedman or just love Disney and Broadway, this is definitaly a book to check out!
